Enjoy the snow land—Cai Yonghui’s Tibet travel exhibition (preface)

Text / Huang Jian

The professor told me to write a preface for his Tibet exhibition, I asked him to please the other art critic for the preface, he said I have been to Tibet, will be more feeling, insist ask me writing, think carefully that is so, than promised down. I have been to Tibet in 2009, I would like to go again, more deeply into the interior of Tibet, like the travel channel advertising language: how far away, go far wary...... but busy state, has been unable to take place again.

In fact, from a tourist’s point of view and from an artist's point of view, Tibet is different. Walking on the plateau needs a kind of spiritual power, Tibet's mysterious colors coupled with a dignified sense of belonging of the religion to this power - that is a feeling without me, it is a calm and composed.

Into the Tibet plateau must be pious, devout is a real artist need, this group of works of professor Yonghui is the product of the religious power. We can not call these works epic works, but at least these works to make people understand the people's lives and spiritual situation in Tibet today.

Yonghui’s work is simple in structure, he's feeling of color, captures the light are worth to taste, and I want to say is the scenery, characters and techniques in the picture is not important, the key is how to find what you want to know Tibet on canvas and interpret the cultural difference and it brings us thinking in culture.
